When cultured in the presence of blebbistatin, an inhibitor of non-muscle myosin II adenosine triphosphatase activity, Wharton’s jelly-derived mesenchymal stromal cells exhibited dose-dependent reduction in proliferative potential along with increase in cell size and induction of early senescence.
